Womanizer Liberty & Starlet Review/Comparison, courtesy of The Vibed

Womanizer Liberty (left) & Womanizer Starlet 2 (right)

So a little while ago, I reviewed and compared the Womanizer Premium and Womanizer Classic. These are two of the fanciest and best-regarded clit suction toys on the market for a good reason. I loved them and will continue to recommend them to many vulva owners. But what about the folx who want something smaller and more affordable? Maybe you aren’t sure about whether you’ll like pleasure air technology, maybe you have a really sensitive clit, or maybe you just don't want to drop over $100 on a sex toy.

Regardless of reasoning, I’m happy that there are some more compact and more financially-accessible clit suction toys on the market in 2021. Today, I have the Womanizer Starlet and Womanizer Liberty. If these are still both a bit pricey for you, go ahead and check out my ROMP Toys review here. Otherwise, stay for the review and comparison. Let’s get into the nitty gritty!

Womanizer Liberty

Womanizer Starlet Specs:

  • 4 intensities

Stuff That's The Same:

All things considered, these are pretty similar clit suction toys. Perhaps what surprised me most is that the lowest and highest intensities of the Liberty and Starlet felt nearly identical; granted, the Liberty has more intensity settings but there really isn't a big jump in power from the lower-priced Starlet to the pricier Liberty. Both toys are quiet and passed the "nosey roommate test" my darling roommate/best friend helps me conduct for y'all: Liberty and Starlet were both undetectable through our thin walls.

Liberty and Starlet are, as you have likely gathered, both made by Womanizer and feature the same deeply-stimulating motor. For people new to air pleasure technology, I would liken Womanizer motors to rumbly vibrators as they travel well through skin and never get "itchy" like buzzier vibrations can. The two toys are both relatively lightweight and compact as well as being discreet, provided someone isn't on a sex-toy scavenger hunt. Hell, if I didn't know much about sex toys, I'd probably try and use one to diminish a pimple.

Stuff That’s Different:

The biggest difference between the Womanizer Liberty and Starlet are the run times. While the travel-friendly Liberty can run for up to 2 hours on a full charge (less time on highest settings), the Starlet can only run for 30 mins MAX (and I only got about ~20 mins out of it in testing since I like to keep it on the higher settings). While much else is the same between the two toys, this is a deal breaker for me personally. If you orgasm quickly (like, consistently in 10 mins or under) or have no personal goal of orgasm with a clit suction toy, great! Go for the Starlet 2. But for vulva-owners like me who can take a bit longer, I would like to STRONGLY advise you to spend to extra 15ish dollars and get the Liberty so your Womanizer won't die in those ever-so-crucial moments right before orgasm.

The exterior of the two toys is also a bit different: Liberty is made to be super travel-friendly and comes in a smaller body with a magnetic lid and the Starlet has fewer aesthetic details and no lid. Personally, this isn't a big deal to me but if you care about aesthetics, I'd say go for the Liberty. The only other real difference is that you only get four intensities with the Starlet versus the six with the Liberty. I had no issue with this but again, it comes down to personal preference.

Are there better options at or below this price point?

There are two other well-known clit suction options at or below the price point of the Womanizer Liberty and Starlet 2: the ROMP line (which I really liked) and most clit suckers from Satisfyer (which I haven't tried yet, sorry y'all I'm working on it). The ROMP toys are nearly as strong and cheaper but aren't as well made. The motors are also a little less on the rumbly side of things and feel a touch more surface-level in their air pulsations. I can't speak to the quality of Satisfyer toys personally, but the consensus from other reviewers seems to be that their air pulsations are less rumblypowerful than Womanizer. Plenty of folx still like them though, and I strongly encourage you to do your own research on Satisfyer.

A Note On Gendered Language:

Womanizer is a fucking terrible name. This may be polarizing but as a sex toy critic, I simply refuse to accept that companies are still equating clitoral pleasure with gender in the year 2021, and I refuse to hold back on noting this type of exclusion. I'm sick of it. That being said, Womanizer toys **sensation-wise** are some of my favorites, and I do still feel like it's worthwhile to review them. Regardless of your gender, I promise you are always welcome here and your gender is in no way related to your toy choices, genitals, chromosomes, et all. You are fucking valid no matter what companies may say in vain attempts st marketing.

Bottom line

The Womanizer Liberty and Starlet 2 are both nice, compact clitoral suction toys, and I will recommend them to plenty of vulva owners. Click here to check out the Womanizer Liberty, and click here to check out the Womanizer Starlet.

I'm A. (she/they), a clueless queer and blogger. I started this blog because I grew up in a small town where sex--especially queer sex--wasn't talked about. I was a determined youngster and managed to scrape the bottom of the internet barrel to find the information I needed (and later, the information I wanted). Now that I've learned a bit about queer pleasure in all of its forms, I wanted to create the resource I wish I'd had; a place where I could read about someone else's experiences and learn about sex from a pleasure-centered perspective. If you have a question about something or want me to cover a certain topic, just shoot me an email! Chances are, I've been there and would love to help or at least offer some moral support, and who knows, maybe others could benefit from a post about it.

Stay safe, be gay, and abolish the police,
