Uberrime Bene Dildo Review

Updated: Sep 29

Introduction

Uberrime is a wonderful indie/fantasy toy maker that specializes in fun color and gorgeous swirls in their insertable toys. Many of their models are--understandably--on the pricey side compared to mass produced dildos since larger toys and dual density dildos are expensive to produce, and many of their dildos may be daunting in terms of size or shape for those who desire something gentler. Enter the Uberrime Bene: a single density semi-realistic dildo that costs $50 (including shipping) and isn’t a dramatic size or heavily textured. I honestly saw and underestimated this dildo since I tend to like a bit of girth in my toys, but was I ever wrong. I’m naming the Uberrime Bene my current favorite dildo: read on to find out why and see if the Bene could be a good fit for you.

Modest Beginnings

The Uberrime Bene is a single density version of one of the brand’s top sellers: the Small Splendid dildo, a classic for gentle g-spot stimulation and semi-representational details. The Bene comes in at 1.6 inches max diameter and 5.25 inches of insertable length, with a lightly curved body and slightly pronounced head (or coronal ridge if you will). The shaft has some light texturing, but I personally don’t notice it during use (perhaps you will if you are a bit more sensitive than me). The Bene I have is a gorgeous blue swirl color with blue glitter in a 8a shore silicone which is similar to a gummy in firmness and, for those of you interested, similar to a 90% erect penis.

There is nothing that particularly stands out about this dildo at first glance; I had ordered it for gentle g-spot stimulation during harness play since my other dildos can be a bit much when my girlfriend gets enthusiastic. I initially pulled it out of the shipping box expecting a fine if somewhat boring masturbation session.

My Glass Slipper

BUT, the combination of the silicone density, the gentle curve, and the pronounced but not too exaggerated head made this toy feel like pussy heaven: a glass slipper I didn’t know I needed. I have not tried the Vixskin Mustang, but I think it’s the same idea of comfortable g-spot stimulation that isn’t too MUCH for you to really go fast with it if that’s your thing. This toy is highly orgasmic for me when used with clitoral stimulation (which I require to orgasm) and just feels lucious being thrust into the depths of my vaginal canal, massaging my g-spot and deeper erogenous zones in one stroke. I feel like I should also mention that the Bene was, as intended, delicious during harness play, if not a touch too slick (sometimes things get slippery y’all). The base feels stable in a harness and since it’s flat rather than a suction cup, it frankly works better than many of my dildos for strap-on sex since it doesnt grab at the harness material or my SO’s bits.

All that said, this dildo is not for you if you seeking out:

  • Serious pressure

  • Texture

  • The look and feel of a human penis

  • A suction cup

  • Big sizes

Bene is modestly sized and made of smooth, slippery silicone so it will never provide the sort of firm g-spotting pouding of something like the nJoy Pure Wand, nor does it have the size or texture of something like the Uberrime Helios (which I would love to try hint hint nudge nudge). This insertable is sort of the goldilocks of dildos for me a majority of the time: not too big but not too small, not too anything but just enough for a nice, deep, resounding vaginal orgasm.

So You Want A Little More...

If you like the sound of the Uberrime Bene but want a little or a lot more size, check out the Uberrime Bona or Beo, the bigger and more textured siblings of the Bene (which you can find linked below or search for on the Uberrime website). If you want a dual density version, try the Uberrime splendid in any of its size incarnations. If the shape and look of the Bene--or its siblings--just doesn’t do it for you, check out some of the brand’s other toys: Marco makes some really gorgeous and thoughtful dildos for a variety of needs that are worth looking into. After my first Uberrime dildo experience, I can say without a doubt that I will be back for more.

Bottom Line

The Bene is my goldilocks dildo, and I think it's gentle yet stimulating body may be the same for others. If you’d like to purchase the Bene, click here. To buy its bigger siblings, the Bona and Beo, click here

I'm A. (she/her/hers), a clueless lesbian and blogger. I started this blog because I grew up in a small town where sex--especially queer sex--wasn't talked about. I was a determined youngster and managed to scrape the bottom of the internet barrel to find the information I needed (and later, the information I wanted). Now that I've learned a bit about queer pleasure in all of its forms, I wanted to create the resource I wish I'd had; a place where I could read about someone else's experiences and learn about sex from a pleasure-centered perspective. If you have a question about something or want me to cover a certain topic, just shoot me an email! Chances are, I've been there and would love to help or at least offer some moral support, and who knows, maybe others could benefit from a post about it.

Stay safe, be gay, and abolish the police,

A.

Welcome!
