B-Vibe Vibrating Snug Plug Review courtesy of The Vibed

I've spent a majority of the COVID-19 pandemic reviewing dildos and vibrators galore, and frankly, what time could be better? Even health officials have said that we are our own safest sex partners so what’s not to love? I had just gotten into anal play back in June and took a hiatus to four on reviewing other things, so when the amazing people over at The Vibed sent my a vibrating plug from B-Vibe, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to dip my toe back in to the waters (and joys!) of anal play. Let’s get down to it!

Specs:

  • 1.2 inches max diameter

  • 112 grams weight (thanks to two weighted balls)

  • 5 inches insertable length

  • Waterproof & splashproof

  • 4 vibration strengths and 6 patterns

  • Hard, smooth, silicone body

  • Slim, anal-safe base

  • Long tapered neck

  • One power button on bottom for on/off and going through settings

  • $85-93 dollars with code QUEER15 (range includes multiple sizes)

Vibrations:

While this is actually the only vibrating butt plug I own **currently**, I do own a sh*t ton of other vibrators, and the criteria for what makes a vibrator good tends to be the same regardless of what hole toys are going in. The motor in the plug is nice: rumbly, decently strong, and pretty quiet! It’s nowhere near as powerful as something like the Magic Wand Rechargeable but that isn't a realistic expectation in a toy this size. I would say it’s comparable to most solid bullet vibrators.

I initially tested the vibrations clitorally since my clit is more adept at noticing differences between vibrations than my amateur tush and, fun fact: the Vibrating Snug Plug totally works as a clitoral vibe (or just an anywhere vibe: use the pointy tip to play with the penis frenulum, nipples, etc).

The rumbly vibes are great for relaxing your tush pre-insertion or mid-insertion which is awesome if you are relatively inexperienced with anal. I personally prefer to turn the vibrations off once the plug's been in for a minute as I don't gain a ton of pleasure from anal vibrations lasting more than five or ten minutes but if you do, absolutely go off and get off!

Design & Shape:

This is a unique product that has lots of possible uses! Score for those of us who love versatility in sex toys. The B-Vibe Vibrating Snug Plug doesn't just vibrate:it also has weighted balls that move around and provide lovely sensation with a slim neck to let your sphincter muscles relax. I loved the B-Vibe Snug Plug after using a smaller plug for warmup. You may not need to do this, but I hadn't done any booty play in over a month and wanted to ease back into it, starting with a tapered plug and The Butters original lube which is a must have for any anal play.

The torpedo-shaped plug went in pretty easily, didn't cause any discomfort whatsoever, and my sphincter muscles relaxed as expected around the long thing neck. The base is slim enough to not really be noticeable during wear, but I had no fears of the plug slipping in due to the firmness of the silicone (very hard and very smooth).

My only issue with this plug is that the button that controls the vibrations is on the base of the plug: it’s fine but would be easier to control if it were a little remote like some other B-Vibe products. This is a minuscule issues though and likely not something that will bother most people.

Ideal Uses & Who It’s For:

This plug is excellent for folks who want a comfortable, vibrating plug that works nicely for long term wear, and the Snug plug comes in a bunch of sizes to accommodate most preferences. This is great for enjoying on it’s own or relaxing your tush in preparation for bigger toys.

The only people I would not recommend this plug to are those who like soft and squishy materials or to feel stretched by the neck of a plug: a greation option for those folx is anything from Squarepeg Toys since their plugs have thick necks and are made of super smooshy silicone.

Bottom Line:

The B-Vibe Vibrating Snug Plug is a unique product (seriously y’all, I scoured the internet and couldn't find anything similar) that works well for a variety of anal sensations and activities. Click here to purchase it and use code QUEER15 for 15% off sitewide.

The B-Vibe Vibrating Snug Plug was sent to me by the wonderful people at The Vibed in exchange for my honest review. As per usual, all my opinions and statements are 100% my own. If you’d like to send me a product for review, go to the Work With Me page to get in touch.

I'm A. (she/her/hers), a clueless lesbian and blogger. I started this blog because I grew up in a small town where sex--especially queer sex--wasn't talked about. I was a determined youngster and managed to scrape the bottom of the internet barrel to find the information I needed (and later, the information I wanted). Now that I've learned a bit about queer pleasure in all of its forms, I wanted to create the resource I wish I'd had; a place where I could read about someone else's experiences and learn about sex from a pleasure-centered perspective. If you have a question about something or want me to cover a certain topic, just shoot me an email! Chances are, I've been there and would love to help or at least offer some moral support, and who knows, maybe others could benefit from a post about it.

Stay safe, be gay, and abolish the police,

A.

Welcome!
